Warranty
Last Updated: 04/14/2025
1) Coverage
This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the Battery under normal private-passenger vehicle use during the Warranty
Term. If a claim is approved, our sole obligation—at our discretion—is one of the following:
- No-charge replacement Battery of the same or equivalent specifications; or
Important: Warranty coverage applies to the Battery unit only. Labor and service fees are not included (see §6).
2) Exclusions (not covered)
This warranty is void or does not apply if the Battery fails or is damaged due to:
- Incorrect application after initial install, undersized capacity, vehicle modifications, or non-approved electrical accessories (e.g., high-draw
- audio/lighting, aftermarket electronics)
- Improper installation, tampering, or service by third parties after our original install
- Abuse, neglect, collision, flood/water intrusion, fire, theft, or other external causes
- Chronic under-/over-charging, sulfation, alternator or charging-system faults, parasitic draw, or poor cable/terminal conditions
- Extended periods of non-use or infrequent vehicle operation (for example, letting the vehicle sit undriven for long periods so that the Battery
- repeatedly discharges), including battery drain from normal parasitic draws while the vehicle is parked
- Standby or deep-cycle use (unless the Battery was specifically rated and sold for that purpose)
- Normal wear and diminished performance due to age/end-of-life
3) Customer responsibilities
You agree to:
- Keep and present your original receipt for any claim
- Maintain the vehicle’s charging system and battery terminals/cables in good condition
- Operate the vehicle regularly or, if the vehicle will sit for extended periods, use an appropriate maintainer/charger or follow the vehicle
- manufacturer’s storage recommendations so the Battery does not go dead from non-use
- Not remove or alter any serial labels or date codes
4) How to make a claim
Contact us at 713-808-1108 or info@houstontxroadside.com to schedule a warranty test. We will perform a diagnostic to determine Battery condition
and charging-system health (fees in §6). If the Battery fails testing, we will authorize the remedy in §1. If it passes testing (no defect), the claim is
denied.
5) Title and return of defective units
All replaced Batteries become our property. We may require the defective Battery be surrendered at the time of replacement.
6) Service fees during the warranty (labor/travel)
Because it covers travel and diagnostics—not the Battery itself—a single fee applies per warranty visit:
- Mobile/On-Site Diagnostic & Dispatch Fee: $109 per visit
- Includes battery health test, charging-system output check, parasitic-draw screen, and terminal inspection.
If the Battery is confirmed defective under this warranty during that visit, we replace it with no additional labor fee.
Additional Work (if needed): Cable/terminal replacement, anti-corrosion kits, electrical repairs, advanced diagnostics, towing, or other services are
not included and will be quoted separately.
7) Limitations of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for towing, rental car, loss of time, lost profits, or other indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability is limited to the original Battery purchase price or the applicable remedy in §1.
8) Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable.
